Admission Requirements
Mr. Bela’s School of Cosmetology does not discriminate in its employment, admission, instruction, or graduation policies on the basis of age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, financial status, or area of origin or residence. The School requires that each student enrolling must be above the compulsory school age (16) and have a 9th grade equivalency.
A limited number of secondary students will be considered for enrollment if they successfully complete a pre-enrollment exam in compliance with the ability-to-benefit policy and obtain permission in writing from the primary school in which they are enrolled.
All candidates will be informed of the responsibilities and dedication they must be willing to extend, in class and in the field in which they can be trained. The School does not make any effort to recruit students that are already attending or admitted to another school offering a similar program of study.
Description: The primary purpose of the Esthetician Program is to train the student in basic skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and for competency in entry-level positions as an Esthetician or related career fields. Each student will receive instruction that relates to the performance of useful, creative, and productive career-oriented activities.
Graduation requirements consist of completing 600 hours of training, obtaining a passing grade of 75% or greater, in compliance with state regulations, and all fees being paid in full. Upon completion of the program and graduation requirements, the student is awarded a diploma. Upon graduation and licensure, positions could include, but are not limited to: An Esthetician or spa owner, an educator, a product representative, a platform artist and much more.
